have a ton of field guides in our home and have always really been obsessed with nature and learning everything I can about it. I remember buying my very first field guide, it was for birds of prey, and ever since then I have pretty much been hooked. To celebrate this appreciation, I have decided to take on a "field guide calendar" every year. Starting out with our insect calendar. I designed these insects as close as I could to the actual specimen, while still paying homage to my artistic spin as a designer. It is printed on a fabric/canvas blend with 6 pages of fully designed insects and the field notes about each one.
